Pull the tabs
Pull both black tabs downward to release the folded blanket from its storage pouch.

Cover the fire
Carefully lower the blanket over the entire small, contained fire so the edges extend beyond the burning area.

Leave it covered
Keep the blanket in place and allow the covered area to cool. Turn off the heat source only when it is safe to do so.
